  2. Fry the chicken pieces lightly and set aside.Add some butter or ghee to the leftover oil. Sprinkle ajwain and when it splutters fry 1 chopped onion.Set aside.Now add the onion paste along with other masalas, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, food colour, salt and sugar to taste.Fry and add the chicken pieces.
  3. Pour 1 cup water, cover and cook till chicken is done.Now add the fried onion, toss till masala coats the chicken.
  4. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, little butter and sprinkle fresh cream or malai. Serve with pulao, tandoori roti or butter naan.
