  1. Get 10 Idlies, cut in small pieces
  2. Get 1/2 cup onion
  3. Take 1/2 cup cabbage
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp green chillies chopped
  5. Prepare 1 tsp uard dal
  6. Get 2 strings of curry leaves
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp ghee
  8. Get 1 tsp sambar masala
  9. Take As required Routine spices
  10. Take As required coriander leaves

This idli fry is one of the easiest snack recipes using leftover idlis. Here I have shared two methods, one is deep frying and second is baked version for calorie conscious people. Idli fries are a wonderful idea to use the leftover idlis. These are super crispy and crunchy.

Steps to make Idli fry:
  1. Cut the onions and cabbage in julienne cut. Heat a pan add ghee in it.
  2. Splutter some jeera, urad dal saute for a minute add curry leaves,onions and cabbage and saute for a while add turmeric powder,sambar powder and salt.Mix well.
  3. Don't overcook onion and cabbage, add idli and mix well. Give nice toss to all ingredients. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Idli fries are a wonderful idea to use the leftover idlis. These are super crispy and crunchy. Chaat masala gives the required kick to the fries. This is the very good option for the mini tini hunger pranks. U all would have tried chilli parotta , chilli Paneer , Gobi etc.
